Own A Grocery Store Product Tier List

Bananas and milk first, processed snacks second, goldified SKUs after rebirth, Store 2 last.

Product Priority

Every Own A Market dollar starts as something on a shelf. This product tier list is the order to unlock and keep stocking — not a beauty contest. Early bananas, corn, eggs, and milk beat later processed lines (popcorn, yogurt, peanut butter) until workers can feed the machines. After you rebirth, goldified versions of those same products jump to S-tier because they sell for more without a new production puzzle. Wheat, bread, and seafood wait until Grocery Store 2 is actually a good buy.

Customers begin spawning when the first product is ready. That is why bananas are not a “noob trap.” An empty premium fridge earns zero. Pair this list with upgrade priority so you are not buying a peanut-butter maker you cannot staff. New players should still read Getting Started and make money fast for the button-by-button path.

Ranking criteria

  • Time to first sale. Bananas win. Seafood does not.
  • Input chain. Raw crop or animal versus a machine that needs another SKU.
  • Worker compatibility. If a restocker can loop it, it AFKs. If only you can run the microwave, it is a B until you are ready.
  • Rebirth scaling. Goldify multiplies whatever you already know how to stock. A product you never built does not goldify into profit.
  • Plot tax. Store 2 SKUs require $30,000 and a second market. That is a gated A, not a free S.

S-tier — goldified products

Rebirth is the official power spike: products goldify and become more valuable, while cash and progress reset. Community videos put the bump near +25% sale value per rebirth (later resets can show a higher listed percent as it stacks). Gold bananas, gold eggs, gold milk, gold popcorn — the letter is S because every customer ticket grows and your muscle memory stays the same.

Rebuild in the same order you used the first time: bananas and corn for traffic, eggs and milk for animal idle, then processed converters. Do not skip bananas after a reset because they “feel cheap.” Gold cheap is still the fastest way to reclear green buttons. Plan the reset with the rebirth planner so you are not goldifying a store that never finished popcorn.

A-tier — early Store 1 staples

Bananas. First crop, first shelf, first customers. Restock is obvious, demand stays high, and workers handle it. Always buy the extra banana tree when the button is cheap relative to sitting idle.

Corn. Second crop. Slightly more awkward to haul than bananas in the opening minutes, but it is still a raw, worker-friendly line and the input for popcorn later. Keep at least one corn shelf full so the processed upgrade is not starved.

Eggs. Requires chickens and an egg display. Animals produce while you are at the register, which is the first taste of true AFK. Feed the chickens; empty pens mean A-tier drops to nothing.

Milk. Cow plus fridge. Same idle logic as eggs, a bit more setup. Milk also feeds yogurt, so a working fridge is the bridge into B-tier processed goods.

These four are the Store 1 economy. If any of them is missing while you are shopping for decorations or a second floor, you are off-list. Controls matter here: dropping the wrong item in the trash or failing to seat eggs in the carton stalls A-tier more than any letter grade will admit.

B-tier — processed Store 1

Popcorn. Needs a popcorn display and a microwave (or equivalent cooker) plus corn. Great ticket value once corn is overproduced. Terrible if you bought the machine during a corn shortage.

Yogurt. Milk converter. Buy it when the fridge is never empty and a worker can walk the loop. Yogurt is how milk stops being “just another fridge.”

Peanut butter. Later Store 1 luxury: peanuts plus a maker. Players who rush it before workers and animals are online watch the machine idle. After a rebirth, gold peanut butter is a reason to finally turn the line on — not a day-one purchase.

Processed goods are B instead of A because they fail hard when the input SKU is dry. They are how you squeeze more cash out of a maxed raw floor. They are not how you start.

Store 2 — wheat, bread, seafood

Grocery Store 2 / Market 2 costs $30,000 from the Markets icon. It sells wheat, bread, and seafood (and the machines that support them). Those products are A-tier on that plot and D-tier as a destination if Store 1 still has locked bananas or no cashier.

Bread is processed wheat, so the same raw-then-converter rule applies. Seafood is a new loop; treat it like eggs/milk — get the producer running before you expand the display. Full unlock timing lives on unlock Store 2. Do not let a script GUI drag you there early; auto farm loaders often only understand Market 1 names.

What not to overbuild

  • A second floor of empty shelves while the first floor still prints.
  • Every processed machine on the same afternoon you unlocked eggs.
  • Store 2 as a trophy at $30,000 while worker speed is still level 1.
  • Ignoring Daily, Gifts, like, and group cash — that free money should buy A-tier buttons, not wallpaper. There are no codes to paper over a bad SKU order.

Suggested unlock path

  1. Bananas → register loop → corn.
  2. Eggs (chickens) → milk (cow, fridge).
  3. Worker on the floor so A-tier runs without you.
  4. Popcorn when corn overflows; yogurt when milk overflows.
  5. Peanut butter when the rest of Store 1 is online.
  6. Rebirth, goldify, rebuild the same ladder faster.
  7. Only then Store 2 wheat / bread / seafood.

If a patch adds SKUs, we will slot them by the same rules: raw idle first, converters second, gold third, extra buildings last. Until then, this order is the product meta. Cross-check upgrades so labor matches the shelf.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Own A Grocery Store on Roblox.

What should I sell first in Own A Market?

Bananas, then corn, then eggs and milk. Those A-tier staples spawn customers and feed later machines. See Getting Started for the first buttons.

When do popcorn, yogurt, and peanut butter become worth it?

After the raw input (corn, milk, peanuts) is overproduced and a worker can feed the machine. They are B-tier processed goods, not openers.

Why are goldified products S-tier?

Each rebirth goldifies SKUs and raises sale value. You restock the same lines for more cash. Plan it with the rebirth planner.

Are Store 2 products better than bananas?

Wheat, bread, and seafood are strong on Store 2, but the $30,000 unlock is late. Max Store 1 first via unlock Store 2.

Do I need scripts to keep shelves full?

No. Workers plus speed/stack upgrades are the intended AFK. Scripts are optional and bannable — overview on the Scripts Hub.
