Rebirth and Goldify in Own A Grocery Store

When to prestige, what 25% goldify is worth, and how to rebuild after the reset.

Rebirth Guide

Rebirth is the prestige layer in Own A Grocery Store (Roblox: Own A Market by dev-devs). The official description says it plainly: rebirth to goldify your products and make them more valuable. The HUD button sits on the right with Upgrades and Markets. Each rebirth spends a cash threshold, deletes your money and progress, and replaces ordinary produce with a higher-value variant. This page is the when-and-why. Pair it with the rebirth planner before you tap Are you sure?

If you have not finished Store 1’s real loop, stop. Prestige on an unstaffed banana hut is how you replay Getting Started for no gain.

What goldify actually does

The first rebirth goldifies products. Playthroughs of the current build show a 25% value increase on those gold goods. Later rebirths change the variant again: rubify, then emeraldify, then diamondify, each at a higher cash gate. The idea is the Monkey Mart prestige: wipe the plot so every future banana, egg, and peanut butter jar is worth more, which makes the next rebuild faster in real time even though the button prices start over.

Goldify is not a cosmetic skin you buy in a shop. You only get it by taking the reset. You also do not keep the cash you used to pay for it. If $12,000 of that pile was earmarked for a chef or Grocery Store 2, that plan dies with the confirm.

What you lose

Expect to lose:

  • All cash.
  • Enterprises, workers, floors, and Store 2 progress you had bought — the tycoon pads go back to the start of the loop.
  • The comfortable muscle memory of a maxed Store 1 that printed while you stood still.

Expect to keep the rebirth count and the product variant (gold, ruby, and so on). Daily / Gift timers are account systems, not plot buttons; claim anything sitting on the HUD before you prestige so a $10,000 Gift is not wasted on a balance about to hit zero.

Because the reset is real, do not buy Grocery Store 2 for $30,000 ten minutes before a rebirth you already decided to take. Either prestige first and buy Store 2 on the goldified run, or commit to Store 2 and delay goldify until both plots are trivial to rebuild.

Cash gates (current play)

Exact numbers can shift with Updates; verify the HUD. Public sessions and videos in 2026 have shown this ladder:

  • Rebirth 1 — Goldify: typically $50,000, about +25% product value.
  • Rebirth 2 — Rubify: typically $75,000.
  • Later tiers: emerald then diamond (diamond-class confirms have appeared around $175,000 in long sessions).
  • Deep accounts exist: public leaderboard peeks have shown players with dozens of rebirths and eight-figure lifetime cash. You do not need that for the first goldify.

The button also shows a percent toward the next rebirth. That bar is a save-up meter, not a reason to ignore workers. Fill it by running the Make Money Fast loop, not by AFK on an empty shelf.

Use the rebirth planner if you want a checklist of “buttons left versus cash needed” rather than eyeballing $50k while Floor 2 is still dark.

When the first rebirth is worth it

Take rebirth 1 when:

  1. Store 1’s useful pads are done (or you can live without the last cosmetic crate).
  2. You can rebuild the income core — register, bananas, corn, worker, cashier, animals — in a short session because you now know the order from Getting Started.
  3. $50,000 is farmable again on gold prices without feeling like a second job.
  4. You are not in the middle of a Store 2 setup you wanted to finish.

Wait if you still fumble corn feed, if Floor 2 is half-built and you wanted peanut butter online, or if a Gift rush hour is about to pay the last $8,000 toward something you will miss. The first goldify is the largest “feel” jump per hour for new accounts. Sitting on $49,000 because reset anxiety is cute is still slower than taking it and rebuilding on +25% goods.

Community clips where someone rebirths, panics at a wiped store, then restocks in minutes are the intended loop. Community clips where someone rebirths with no worker plan are the warning.

Rebuild order after a reset

Do not improvise a new strategy. Run the known script faster:

  1. Claim Daily / Gift if they popped.
  2. Register, banana shelf, banana trees.
  3. Corn, Worker 1, cashier.
  4. Eggs, milk, popcorn / yogurt as corn allows.
  5. Speed and stack on the bodies that move goods — upgrades tier list.
  6. Carrots, then Floor 2 at $8,000 when the ground floor is stable.
  7. Peanuts → peanut butter before every almond plant.
  8. Only then stare at Markets for Grocery Store 2 or the next rebirth bar.

Gold goods make each customer pay more, so the same stack upgrade is worth more after prestige. That is why you still buy stack/speed early; you do not skip staffing because bananas are shiny.

Product priority after goldify is still the products tier list. Gold almonds are not a reason to skip corn. Animals still eat.

Later rebirths and common mistakes

Each extra variant is a smaller relative jump than the first 25%, paid for with a bigger cash gate and another full rebuild. Take them when the current store is a chore, not a puzzle. If you are still learning controls or still confusing Floor 2 with Store 2, you are not in later-rebirth territory.

Mistakes worth naming:

  • Confirming rebirth to “see the gold banana,” then quitting.
  • Buying Store 2, teleporting, spending $8,000 upstairs, then goldify-wiping both lots.
  • Ignoring Gifts that would have paid the last few thousand, or claiming a cash Gift after the reset when it could have been spent on a worker you now have to repurchase.
  • Rush hour into a post-rebirth empty shop.
  • Looking for a promo code to skip the $50k — Codes has none as of September 2026.
  • Using a script to fake prestige. Account risk is not a goldify bonus.

Online six-player servers do not share your rebirth. Neighbors with gold corn are a preview, not a steal. Offline earnings resume after you rebuild a staffed loop; they do not preserve the old plot.

When a patch changes thresholds, Updates is the first stop, then this page and the planner. Official group and place links sit on the wiki overview. For money without prestige, stay on Make Money Fast.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Own A Grocery Store on Roblox.

How much does the first rebirth cost?

Current play typically shows $50,000 for the first goldify (about +25% product value). Confirm the number on the Rebirth HUD; patches can move it. Plan the spend with the rebirth planner.

Do I keep Grocery Store 2 and workers after rebirth?

No. Rebirth resets money and progress, including enterprises, staff, floors, and Store 2 work. You keep the product variant (gold / ruby / later tiers) and start the pads over.

Should I buy Store 2 before I goldify?

Usually no if a rebirth is imminent. $30,000 on Grocery Store 2 is progress the reset deletes. Prestige first, or commit to a long Store 2 grind before the next bar.

What is the difference between goldify, rubify, and diamondify?

They are successive product variants from extra rebirths. Gold is first (~25% value). Ruby, emerald, and diamond come later at higher cash gates. Each still wipes money and progress.

Is there a code to rebirth for free?

No. Codes has no active list and no redemption UI as of September 2026. Farm cash with Make Money Fast instead.
